Christmas is a good time of year for me, and always has been. Many people now dislike Christmas, detest the songs and traditions and overall do not think about how enjoyable it can be. I've always found that on Christmas Eve, and Christmas day that I tend to drift away from ProBoards in order to spend time with family. I make the most of it and it always has sprung back memories of me when I was younger. The presents, how happy I was and my Mum and Dad watching me tear open the wrapping. It makes me smile. I used to be so gullible, but yet so curious. I believed in Santa Claus but because of my curiosity I went downstairs to see him, well I hoped. He wasn't there. Just my dad patching up one of those bikes with stabilizers, for my younger brother you see. I had my suspicions and on Christmas day I saw that exact same bike right beside the tree. It was then I realized it was a lie, well a white lie.
Ever since then I've kept it a secret from little kids, to give them the magic that I once felt. It's only fair, to let them have their fun seeing as I had my own. This year I'm getting my own Net book aswell which should actually allow me to come on more often, as I can move about etc. I thought I'd post this in my blog. Just so that people can realize that being a Scrooge about it all isn't any fun! Get stuck in and make it fun. If you don't like the songs, don't let it ruin the holidays. Merely suffer it at parties or when your with family, but at home or in the car listen to some music you DO like. Just small things like that which can help your holidays feel better.
